I trust everybody had an enjoyable summer and is as excited as our staff are to be back training and getting ready for what promises to be a great season. With our first pre-season sessions underway the coaching staff felt it was imperative to remind all of our players of how vital these sessions are in the next few weeks. These fitness and team sessions will provide each team with a great foundation to work off of as the season kicks into gear. Preparation is key to ensuring quality performance. Please hydrate, eat and look after your bodies appropriately.
Next week we have a great opportunity at the Richmond Olympic Oval to help us in our preparation for the season. We have sessions prepared in sport psychology, concussion testing, SAQ, and nutrition. We are truly privileged to have professionals that have worked with Olympic and World Championship athletes work with us.
In addition to this the SX Cup during the Labour Day weekend will allow our teams to play four competitive games and help our coaching staff implement their playing styles and philosophies and for the players to fine tune ahead of the season.
For any players that are absent during the pre-season sessions they will need to make up these sessions. The team make up sessions will be held on September 5th and 7th at Eric Hamber field 5:30-7:00pm (junior teams) and 7:00-8:30pm (senior teams).
